January 14

My God is so good, so wonderful, so great,
He provides for me in unimaginable ways.

   When the sun sets,
      He raises it.
When the storm comes and the clouds loom,
He gives me a roof, he feeds me food.

Even though I doubt,
You make the rocks cry out.
Again and again you prove Your love
   to me, so unworthy,
a child undeserving.

Your forgiveness, love, and provision
is life to my weary soul.
It is obvious, You alone are in control.

I could take you to the water,
A rushing river, an overflowing well.
I could offer you abundance beyond satisfaction,
But I am not able to make you drink.

     I could feed you salt,
But only as a last resort,
For I would hate to bring you pain.
However, sometimes a little saltiness
    Saves from a scorching spice.

January 12

May I always respect my parents,
learn to apologize and admit when I'm wrong.
But most of all, strive to live for God.

January 11

Hanging out with short people makes me feel tall, but never forces me to grow.

January 10

On occasion I hear God speak. It is so important not to miss that precious Word. If I do not write It down quickly, I will forget. All the time saying I won't.
Word from God is priceless and must be captured. First in our hearts; then with pen and paper. It is like a shooting star or beautiful moment, but so much more precious.

January 9

One life, one voice, one chance to or to not make a difference. I choose the way in which I can do anything through Christ.

January 8

Your love is strong, stronger than hate,
Your love is long, longer than pain.

Long time, no post

So I haven't posted anything in a while, but good news! I can assure you that I have been writing every single day and have not broken my resolution yet. Anyway, I'm going to go ahead and upload all 7 posts' worth.

A haiku:

    The chill of the air,
A frosted window sill, and
    Red birds on branches.

In every season of life, through every circumstance, there is always something, at least one thing, to be grateful for.

For those who have a relationship with Jesus Christ, that thing is God's love and faithfulness.

                                    The Freeing Fog

I see the fog and say, "How beautiful!"
Some may see it and wish it away, hoping for clear skies and bright sunlight.
What do I see in the fog others may not?
The fog is a cloud coming down to earth, heaven descending on the ground.
It blankets us, those residing on earth,
It fills the air with a beautiful mystery. I can feel the fog, it slows me down.
Though it clouds the vision, it clears the mind.
It hushes all creation, makes it safe and still outside.
And in the quiet beauty of nature- my mind can take flight.
The fog seems a thick barrier, but it's not.
        It frees me.
I know, for in the fog I can soar.

Don't try to move toward the future too fast, but don't fear the future either. Find joy in every season of life. Rest in every single, beautiful moment you have been blessed with.

January 3rd

Photography is the art of capturing moments.

January 2nd

The beauty which fills the earth overflows from the Beautiful One.

Our eyes are able to see and capture in our hearts, freeze in our minds the beauty that we see. And we are able to share that beauty, that moment with the world through photography. So the beauty is multiplied as it is shared, for the sharing brings smiles.

With the New Year comes new opportunities, but also new challenges. Through all these joys and trials of the year, Lord, keep these desires and thoughts in the hearts of Your people, in me, forever, keep my heart loyal to You. (based on 1 Chronicles 29:18) In everything You are loyal, let me be also loyal to You.

New Year

Happy New Year! So this year one of my resolutions is to write something everyday. I decided to post them here. Each day I will write something new. It may be a short story, a poem (if I'm feeling really creative), a short saying, or maybe just a few sentences about something I learned in my personal Bible study. So here I go, writing something every day of the year.
